Serving Around Camp

Students will be on a weekly rotation, meeting the daily needs of camp and learning the value of steady, faithful service. As the year builds, they’ll step into supporting weekend retreats and guest groups - gaining hands-on experience in hospitality, teamwork, and ministry that makes a lasting impact.

Global Mission Trip

In late winter, the team will travel to Honduras for a week-long mission trip. This opportunity expands their vision beyond The Woods and allows them to serve cross-culturally, partner with a local ministry, and experience the joy of sharing Christ’s love outside the United States. It’s a chance to step out of their comfort zone and step into God’s global mission.

Summer Staff Leadership

The Gap Year concludes with students stepping into leadership as part of The Woods’ summer staff. Whether serving as a counselor, leading high ropes, directing waterfront, or guiding teams of peers, they’ll finish the year not just as learners but as leaders. This experience cements their growth and equips them to carry what they’ve learned into every future calling.
