Christ Centered Community

Students will live in intentional community with others their age, sharing everyday moments that matter. Together, you’ll learn what it means to live out your faith in real ways; encouraging one another, holding each other accountable, and walking side by side in your relationship with Christ. Community life at The Woods is where transformation happens, not just through what you learn, but through how you live together.

Mentorship & Godly Leadership

Throughout the year, students are guided by wise mentors who lead with love, grace, and truth. These relationships provide encouragement, accountability, and discipleship from leaders who are committed to seeing them grow in their walk with Christ.

Life At Camp

At The Woods, Gap Year students live right on site surrounded by community, nature, and everything Camp has to offer.

Here’s what’s provided:

  • Lodging: Onsite housing in cabins

  • Meals: Three meals a day are fully provided during your time at Camp

  • Laundry: Onsite laundry facilities are available for regular use

  • Community Spaces: Shared common areas for hanging out, studying, or relaxing

FAQ

  • Yes! All Gap Year students live on site at The Woods. Living together in community is a huge part of what makes this experience so meaningful.

  • Of course! Our kitchen is completely peanut-free, and we’re happy to accommodate medical dietary needs such as gluten-free or dairy-free options.

    However, we’re not able to provide individualized meals for personal preferences or lifestyle choices, such as vegan or vegetarian diets.

  • You’ll have everything you need to feel at home! A twin bed, mattress, dresser, and space to hang your clothes. Bathrooms are either in your cabin or just a short walk away, with room to store your toiletries and towels.

    You’ll have access to a Gap Year fridge in the dining hall. Perfect for keeping your own food or snacks on hand!
